TEACHER SALARY AND SCHEDULE
SJCC+CS strives to provide a competitive living wage that scales to the market and geographic area, and the staff compensation plan is designed to provide equitable and transparent pay for each member of our staff.
Step placement for certificated teachers on the salary schedule is determined by verified years of full-time certificated service. A maximum credit of 9 years of experience may be granted at the time of hire.
One full year of experience is defined as a minimum of 4 hours per day for at least 75% of a school year in any of the following settings: a lead teacher of record K-16 setting where an individual was assigned the lead responsibilities and accountability for a student's learning in a subject course ( i.e. planning curriculum and giving grades), or years spent as an administrator. Experience is only counted if the educator is credentialed while they are performing service.
