Seut's Journey to Independence
When young adults join the Corps, they build practical skills and refine the work ethic needed to succeed in the professional workforce. Starting in the Charter School, Seut balanced academics with the responsibilities of being a new corpsmember. After earning his high school diploma, Seut joined the job training program full-time and discovered a genuine passion for hands-on work.

As his professional confidence grew, Seut decided he was ready for his next big challenge: achieving personal independence by moving into his own space.
To encourage self-reliance, the Corps offers a tiny home program with a unique feature: the homes are built by corpsmembers for corpsmembers. This initiative helps participants master the daily realities of living on their own, from cooking and cleaning to managing laundry and personal schedules.
“It’s the first time I have been able to experience living on my own. The Corps helped me develop the discipline I needed.” Moving into his own space helped Seut recognize the importance of these foundational habits and build the self-discipline that accelerated his growth. Seut's high school diploma (he was a graduation speaker for his class), technical certifications, and newfound independence highlight the multiple facets of the corpsmember journey.

Seut’s progression through every level of our services includes education, job training, housing, and professional growth. Today, Seut continues to develop as a driven individual as he pursues his next goal of becoming an HVAC technician.
