Plastic Bags and Stretchy Plastics Recycling Pilot
For a limited time, selected Milpitas residents can use this bin to collect plastic bags and stretchy plastics at home. Set it out for pickup on your regular recycling day, Thursday. This pilot runs through the end of the year to help test new approaches.

Q: What if I don’t want to participate?
A: Participation is completely optional. If you choose not to participate, simply do not place your new green bin out for collection. You may also keep the bin for other appropriate household uses.
Q: What do I do with my plastic bags and stretchy plastics once the pilot ends?
A: Flexible plastic films can be recycled at various retail locations and stores. Plasticfilmrecycling.org to find a participating retailer near you.
