What We Do

SJCC+CS employs a three-pronged approach to serving youth. We provide stabilization and support services, a high school education, and paid job training.

Stabilization & support

Many students enter SJCC+CS unable to meet their basic needs. Some wrap-around services, such as substance abuse/psychological counseling, are provided on site. Other services are provided through community partnerships, such as rapid re-housing or access to nutritional food. Every student receives assistance with public transportation and has the opportunity to earn college scholarships through our AmeriCorps program.

Charter High School

SJCC+CS operates an accredited, on-site, charter high school that gives youth the opportunity to earn a high school diploma. In a blended learning environment, created to meet the unique needs of these youth, students are inspired to find academic success.

paid job training

Youth can "earn while they learn" in one of SJCC+CS's paid job training programs. Youth complete projects that benefit the community in the areas of zero waste, natural resource management, and construction through our housing initiative.
