VTA Clipper Cards (Eco Passes)

SJCC&CS offers students, corps members and staff in ECO Pass through the Valley Transit Authority's Clipper Card Program. This program allows students, corps members and staff a transit pass at substantially discounted rates compared to an individual purchasing an annual pass on their own ($1,540) compared to the SJCC&CS fee of $40[1]. In order to qualify for the program, SJCC&CS must purchase a pass for every employee in the organization, regardless of whether everyone wants a pass or is issued a pass.

All Eco Pass Clipper Cardnumbers are tracked accordingly
Eco Passes are not transferable.
It is prohibited to sell an Eco Pass to another person.
Eco Passes are only available to current students. Unfortunately former students are not allowed to purchase Eco Passes, despite need.

Mandatory wait period
Incoming students must wait a minimum of two weeks after successful completion of orientation to receive an Eco Pass. The waiting period is dependent on attendance, behavior and school progress. Students presenting a check for payment will not receive their Eco Pass until the check has cleared.

If a student loses or has had their Eco Pass Clipper Card stolen, they must report it immediately.

A student is considered to have received the benefit of the fee paid after eight days of possession or usage of the Eco Pass. The fees paid are not refundable.
